A staircase has to be safe, comfortable to use and suit your home or building. A staircase made to measure gives you all of that. This is how the process works at Kaaijk Metaalbewerking.
The first conversation
Everything starts with your wishes. Do you already know exactly what you want, or are you still looking for advice? Either way, we map out together what is needed. As soon as your wishes are clear, you quickly receive a cost indication. If it matches what you had in mind, you receive a detailed quotation with our terms of delivery.
Measuring up and design drawing
We then visit you to measure up the staircase. A staircase made to measure has to fit the stairwell exactly and connect neatly to floors and walls. Based on those measurements we make a design drawing and send it to you. Once you are happy with it, the staircase goes into production.
Which type of staircase suits you?
The shape of the staircase depends on the space you have and the look you are after. Among other things, we make:
- Open and closed staircases
- Spiral staircases and winding staircases
- Twisted staircases and staircases with a bottom, top or double quarter turn
- Steep loft ladders
Steel or stainless steel forms the basis. We like to combine it with wooden treads, so the staircase suits your interior.
Production to EN 1090
Every staircase is made in our own workshop in Zaandam. Our staircases are EN 1090 certified. That standard sets requirements for manufacturing steel components with a load-bearing function, so you can be sure your staircase is safe. Outdoor staircases are hot-dip galvanised, so they stand up well to wind and weather.
Installation on site
