Balustrade around a void

Balustrade around a void

Along the edge of this void stands a balustrade of black steel with glass panels. The slim top rail and the posts give a calm line, while the glass keeps the view down open.

A glass and steel balustrade forms a closed barrier. That is reassuring if, for example, there are children in the house. Because the glass is transparent, the space still feels just as open and light.

This balustrade followed our usual steps as well: mapping out your wishes, measuring up, a design drawing, production in our workshop in Zaandam, powder coating in the chosen colour and finally a tidy installation.

The gallery shows more balustrades and handrails: a steel balustrade around a stairwell in a loft, a black steel balustrade around a stair opening and a handrail that follows the stairs closely.
