Steel screens at a void and stairwell
A void or stairwell brings space and light, but also draughts, noise and an open connection between floors. A steel screen with glass closes off such a space without losing the light.
These photos show screens that were fitted precisely. One screen follows the sloping line of the roof and the beams above a stairwell, another is a tall, narrow screen along a void in front of a large window. Next to a staircase going down there is a glass wall with a door.
Screens like these are always made to measure: no corner or sloping line is the same. That is why we first measure up on site and make a design drawing, so you can see in advance what the screen will look like.
We then make the screen in our workshop in Zaandam, have it powder coated and install it for you. Finally we fit the safety glass.
